What is a Fulbright Scholar? (Josh mentions he is a Fulbright Scholar in a season 1 episode)

A program in international educational exchange, named after the Senator who proposed it in 1945 (Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas), Fulbright believed it would promote "mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries of the world."  It was approved by Congress and  signed into law by President Truman in 1946.

"Fulbright grants are made to U.S. citizens and nationals of other countries for a variety of educational activities, primarily university lecturing, advanced research, graduate study and teaching in elementary and secondary schools. Since the program’s inception, more than 250,000 participants --chosen for their leadership potential-- have had the opportunity to observe each other’s political, economic and cultural institutions."

Both US and international Fulbright Scholars "variety of educational activities, primarily university lecturing, advanced research, graduate study and teaching in elementary and secondary schools", and a grant can last for varying amounts of time.

Who is "Ado Annie?" (what Josh calls Donna in the season 2 episode "17 People")

A character from the musical "Oklahoma," Ado Annie is the daughter of Judge Andrew Carnes, and the woman that Will Parker wants to marry.  However the Judge will not let Will marry Ado Annie unless Will can raise $50.  Despite Will's desire to marry her, Ado Annie goes to the carnival with the Persian peddler, Ali Hakim, and reveals in song that she is the girl who "can't say no."  Because of his flirtatious attitude towards Ado Annie, the Judge insists that Ali Hakim marry his daughter.  Ali Hakim, however, has no desire to do so, and ends up giving Will the money he needs to fulfill the Judge's requirements and Will and Ado Annie are happily united.

What is the translation for the President's Latin speech after Mrs. Landingham's funeral? ("Two Cathedrals")

"Am I really to believe that these are that acts of a loving God? A just God? A wise God? To hell with your punishments. I was your servant here on Earth. And I spread your word and I did your work. To hell with your punishments. To hell with you."
