Chapter 43

- Hours Later
Setting: The Port Charles Park
(It’s a beautiful early July day. The sun is shining down brightly on all of Port Charles. Robin and Patrick are sitting on a blanket staring out toward the lake. After leaving the hospital, they spent an entire afternoon at the Penthouse together, just enjoying each other. And it was all Robin’s idea. And Patrick loved her ideas… so when she suggested getting some fresh air, he agreed.)

Patrick: This was a good idea.
Robin: See, I’m known for a few of them.
(Patrick looks at Robin as she stares straight ahead. He leans down and gently kisses her shoulder.)
Patrick: A few of them.
(Robin laughs as she turns her head and looks at Patrick.)
Patrick: Just a few… wouldn’t want to make your ego the size of mine.
Robin (laughs): Oh no! Wouldn’t want that… especially after this afternoon. (smiles) My ideas rock!
(Robin rests her head on Patrick’s shoulder and sighs.)
Robin: You know what would make this day even more perfect?
Patrick: Besides going back to the Penthouse and picking up where we left off?
(Before Robin can respond, she feels a coolness wash over her and Patrick’s bodies. She looks up and sees her parents holding a blanket and a picnic basket.)
Robin: This isn’t real.
Anna: All your fiancée’s idea.
(Robert lowers the blanket he’s carrying onto the grass.)
Robert: I, myself, hate picnics.
(Robin laughs as Robert and Anna slowly sit down next to them.)
Robin: I remember. (looks at Patrick) When did you call them?
Patrick: When you went to the car to get another blanket.
Robin: Sneaky!
(Patrick laughs as Robert and Anna settle down next to them. Robin looks at her parents then back at Patrick.)
Robin: This is like a dream. It’s almost like I need to be constantly pinched.
(Patrick suddenly smiles and Robert clears his throat loudly. Robin’s face reddens slightly as she turns toward her mother.)
Robin: So, where else have you two been today?
(Anna looks at her husband then back at her daughter.)
Anna: We saw Luke.
Robert: Felicia.
Anna: Alan and Monica Quartermaine.
Robert: And that was about it.
Anna (looks at Robert): Well, is there anyone else that would even know who you are?
Robert: I resent that! I was once important in this town.
Anna: Yes, you and shoulder pads… it’s a new decade, dear.
(Robin and Patrick both have to stifle their laughter as Robert shoots his wife an icy glare. Patrick leans in toward Robin and smiles.)
Patrick: I can see where you get your mouth from.
(Robin turns toward Patrick and smiles.)
Robin: And this is them being mild.
(Patrick leans in and gently kisses Robin’s shoulder as her parents continue to banter.)
Patrick: Happy?
(Robin smiles and tenderly touches her fiancée’s face.)
Robin: Ecstatic.
(Unfortunately that feeling wouldn’t last. Robin and Patrick hear the sound of laughter approaching them and notice Sonny Corinthos and Leticia walking toward them with Michael and Morgan. Robert and Anna notice them immediately as well. However, Anna smiles fondly remembering, the little guy, Sonny Corinthos.)
Sonny: Robin.
Robin: Sonny.
Robert: So, this is Mr. Corinthos?
(Robin closes her eyes. She knew Uncle Mac must’ve filled him in on everything. Her parents were staying with Mac and one thing she was certain of was that he would fill Robert in on everything.)
Sonny: And you must be Robin’s father. I heard you were back.
Robert: Yeah.
(Robert stands up quickly.)
Robert: Can we talk for a moment?
(Robert Scorpio was bigger in person than Sonny had imagined. He had this aura of strength that just surrounded him – the same aura of strength that surrounded Robin. Anna watches her daughter grimace slightly. She looks toward her.)
Anna: He just wants to talk.
Robin: Oh, this coming from the woman that told me she wished she punched "the little guy?"
(Anna laughs remembering her own words.)
Anna: That would’ve been fun.
(Robin shakes her head and Patrick supportively massages her shoulders as Robert and Sonny walk toward another section of the park. Once they’re alone, Robert looks at Sonny.)
Robert: My brother tells me that you were once close with my daughter.
Sonny: Very.
Robert: You shared something painful with her. (Pauses) Thank you for standing by her when she lost her boyfriend and then contracted HIV.
Sonny: No thanks needed. It was an honor.
Robert: An honor? Good. (simply) Well, if you ever so much make her shed one more tear over you, I will hunt you down and destroy you. I don’t care how powerful you think you are in these parts of the world, I have been around longer than you, seen things you can only dream of, and survived things you would never make it out of. I am Robin’s protector now and forever – and now that you’ve been warned, I will not turn a blind eye to your stupidity. (Sonny looks a bit taken back) The same goes for your ex-wife – please keep that ignorant woman away from my daughter.
Sonny: You’ve already met Carly?
Robert: Just do it.
(Sonny can’t do anything but nod as Robert stares back at him coldly. Robert suddenly breaks out with a huge smile.)
Robert: It was nice meeting you, though!
(Sonny just watches Robert Scorpio walk back toward his family. Anna smiles toward Sonny and waves at him as well. Yeah, she was the other crazy one that punched Jason straight to the ground in front of him. Sonny suddenly feels his phone vibrating in his pocket.)
Sonny: Sonny Corinthos. (Shocked) What?!? When? Where is she now?

Setting: Robin & Patrick’s Penthouse
(It’s later in the day. After leaving the park with her parents, Robin and Patrick took a walk through downtown Port Charles and eventually decided to head home. They’re holding hands laughing as they slowly walk toward their Penthouse.)

Patrick (laughing): No! The best part of the picnic was when your father threatened Sonny Corinthos.
Robin: Now, we do not know that he threatened him.
Patrick: Oh come on! It was so obvious.
Robin (smiles): Yeah… maybe.
Patrick: How about when your mother waved at him? Hysterical!
Robin: Why did I miss the humor in that?
Patrick: Because you weren’t there when she punched his buddy down to the ground. (looks at her) Now, that was a classic Port Charles moment.
(Robin rolls her eyes.)
Patrick: And that’s when I decided that you’re family was one that I could see myself fitting into.
Robin: Yeah, act first… think later. (shakes her head) Good group of people!
(Robin and Patrick turn the corner leading to their Penthouse. Suddenly, Patrick feels Robin drop her hands from his. He looks toward the door of his Penthouse and sees a woman sitting in front of it smiling widely.)
Woman: Finally! I was about to visit my ex-husband for old time’s sake.
(The woman stands up smiling as Patrick stares back at her confused and is about to say something until Robin leaps toward the woman and hugs her tightly.)
Robin: Brenda!!
(Patrick nods. That’s Brenda Barrett. The women slowly pull apart.)
Robin: What are you doing here?!?!
Brenda: I got your email about your dad and decided that I had to see my little sis. (looks at Patrick) And check out her boyfriend.
Robin: Actually, Bren…
(Robin lifts her left hand and smiles. Brenda’s eyes immediately widen as she grabs Robin’s hand.)
Brenda: You’re engaged?!?! Since when?
Robin: Not that long ago.
(Brenda examines the ring then looks back at Patrick.)
Brenda: You have good taste.
Patrick: Actually, my dad does. He gave that ring to my mom.
Brenda: Oh… that’s sweet.
(Brenda leans in toward Robin.)
Brenda: And so is he. (whispers) He’s cute, Robin!
(Robin’s face immediately reddens as she turns back around and looks at Patrick.)
Robin: Why don’t we go inside?
(Robin opens the door to the Penthouse as Brenda and Patrick follow her inside. Brenda immediately looks around the Penthouse in shock.)
Brenda: Wow! You weren’t joking when you said that you two completely redid the place. It looks nothing like the place I remember.
Patrick: Don’t tell me… you lived here too?
Brenda: With Sonny Corinthos.
Patrick: The mobster gets around, huh?
(Robin laughs as she nudges her fiancée. She looks back at Brenda.)
Robin: Are you hungry? Do you want something to drink?
Brenda: No! I want to talk about the both of you! I want to know everything about your relationship.
(Robin and Patrick look at each other as Brenda plops down on the couch.)
Brenda: Come on! Humor me! I traveled all this way and I want a good story!
(Robin and Patrick slowly sit down on the couch next to her.)
Robin: There isn’t much to say.
Brenda: Bull! (points toward her) YOU, Robin Scorpio, once told me that you would never commit to another man again.
(Robin scrunches her face as Patrick leans in curiously.)
Patrick: Really?
Brenda: What were the exact words you used, Robin? I’d rather have a root canal without Novocain than…
Robin: Okay! What do you want to know?
(Brenda smiles excitedly and leans in as she sits Indian style.)
Brenda: Who made the first move?
Patrick: Robin.
Robin: Patrick.
(Robin and Patrick look at each other as Brenda claps happily.)
Brenda: I knew this would be fun! (smiles) Who kissed who first?
Robin: Patrick.
Brenda: Stubborn as always, huh?
(Robin’s mouth falls as Patrick raises his fist in the air with pride.)
Patrick: One for the man!
Robin: I was not being stubborn! I just wasn’t looking for "this" at the time.
Brenda: Said "I love you" first?
(Patrick raises two fingers in the air as Robin covers her face embarrassed.)
Brenda (lightly): Robin, wasn’t there anything you did first?
(Robin raises her finger to her mouth to think as Patrick starts laughing. She starts to think of something and leaps up then settles back down.)
Robin: Oh, that’s not good.
(Patrick looks over to her smiling.)
Patrick: What is it?
(Robin looks at Patrick then leans over toward him and whispers something into his ear. He immediately covers his face as he laughs.)
Brenda: Come on! Share!
(Patrick shakes his head.)
Patrick: That one stays private.
Robin: Thank you.
Brenda: Okay, then tell me about the engagement.
Robin: It was perfect.
Patrick: It was nerve-wracking.
Robin: We had just come back from looking for my dad and… (looks at Patrick) It was just everything I ever dreamed of.
(Brenda looks back at them with tears in her eyes.)
Brenda: Oh guys! (excited) Tell me more! I want to know about your first fight with Jason and Sonny… because I KNOW you had to have some of those!
Robin (laughs): Now, why would you want to know about that?
Brenda: Any story that ends with Jason and Sonny with bruised egos is always good for the soul.
(The women laugh as Patrick watches them. He studies them for a few minutes then looks down at his watch.)
Patrick: Uh… Robin, I need to call Michael and I think he should still be up.
Robin: Go right ahead. We’ll be here.
(Patrick kisses Robin’s forehead then walks toward the back of the Penthouse. Before going into one of the back rooms, he watches Brenda and Robin laughing. It was a beautiful sight to see. Robin was truly happy. She had both of her parents with her in Port Charles and now her best friend. It was the perfect time in Robin’s life… and Patrick had an idea that might make it even more perfect. He walks into the kitchen and quickly dials in some numbers.)
Patrick: McBain, it’s Patrick.
Michael: Hey Patty.
Patrick: How quick can you be in Port Charles?

- The Next Day
Setting: Robin & Patrick’s Bedroom at the Penthouse
(The sun is shining bright throughout the entire master bedroom in Robin & Patrick’s Penthouse. Robin is peacefully snuggled next to her fiancée with a smile of true and complete happiness. Patrick protectively held Robin in his arms as they both slept peacefully. Brenda and Robin spent hours talking last night until they both practically collapsed with exhaustion. Robin showed Brenda to the guest room on the lower level then slowly made her way toward her room, to find Patrick wide awake writing in some sort of notebook. Upon seeing her, he quickly shoved the book under the bed and pulled Robin toward him then simply loved her. Robin loved her life. She loved it so very much. This morning, she was the first one to wake up and smiled when she heard the faint sound of Patrick snoring next to her. Robin had to laugh. She must’ve really knocked him out last night. Robin wanted to make it up to him. Deciding to surprise Patrick with breakfast, she carefully unwraps herself from his arms and sits up in their large king size bed. Once sitting up, Robin looks around her bedroom and smiles… this was home - her home with the man she loved. She glances down at her sleeping fiancée and smiles again. There was no way that life could get any better than this. Robin’s eyes scan down to Patrick’s hands resting on his bare stomach. And he was hers… all hers. Smiling, Robin carefully gets off the bed and walks over to the chair in the corner of the room. She quickly throws on Patrick’s pajama top and glances down at the floor. She laughs silently at the sight of their clothes sprawled around it. Last night was a good night. Robin smiles contently then starts toward the door. She was going to make all of Patrick’s favorites - bacon, eggs, pancakes, everything!! Her own mouth waters at the thought of all those delicious foods. Quietly, Robin makes her way down the stairs of the Penthouse. She knew Brenda would most likely already be gone because she told Robin she had "tons" of errands to run in the morning and sure enough, there was a letter from Brenda waiting for Robin on the dining room table.)

Robin (reading aloud): Ran out. See you for dinner.
(Robin places the letter back on the table.)
Robin: Dinner? Geesh! What in the world is she doing all day?
(Robin continues toward the kitchen and starts her mission – make her fiancée a meal he would never forget. About an hour later, Robin glances at the small wooden table sitting in the center of the room and sees a large plate of banana pancakes resting in the middle of it. Robin couldn't believe Patrick slept through all this; he was usually up by now… especially if she wasn’t in bed with him. He must be up to something. Just as Robin turns around to check on Patrick, he appears at the entrance of the kitchen in only his pajama bottoms.)
Patrick: Mmm… what smells so amazing?
(Robin smiles as she places a pitcher of freshly squeezed orange juice on their table.)
Robin: All of this is for you!
Patrick: Me?
(Robin smiles and in that moment, Patrick is certain that he never loved her more than he did this morning. She looked absolutely beautiful, wearing only his pajama top, her hair held up in a messy bun with smidgens of flour all over her face. He was speechless. She walks toward him and wraps her arms around his neck while looking up at him.)
Robin (smiles): Good morning, sleepyhead.
(Robin smiles, as Patrick gently touches her face then gently leans down and kisses her. She moans slightly as he pulls away from her smiling.)
Patrick: Now it’s a good morning.
(Robin unwraps Patrick's arms from around her body and walks toward the table.)
Robin: I’ve made all of your favorites.
(Patrick walks behind her as she fixes the plates on the table and quickly wraps his arms around her waist. She leans her head on his chest.)
Patrick: What did I do to deserve this? (looks down toward her) To deserve you?
Robin: You loved me.
Patrick: That’s all?
(Robin turns around in Patrick’s arms, standing on her tiptoes, and grabs his face and kisses him passionately. He moans slightly as she kisses him deeper and deeper then slowly pulls away and looks down at her.)
Patrick: You know if you keep doing that, we’ll never eat.
Robin (claps): Right! Let’s eat!
(Patrick pulls out a chair for Robin then quickly sits across from her and grabs a piece of bacon.)
Patrick (chewing): This is good.
(Robin shakes her head laughing and pours them both glasses of orange juice. Patrick suddenly looks at Robin and takes her hand.)
Patrick: You know what would make this even better?
Robin: What?
Patrick: Come here.
(Patrick pulls Robin toward him and places her gently on his lap. He looks back at her.)
Patrick: If you let me take care of you.
Robin: Patrick!
(Patrick reaches for one of the pancakes and simply cuts it into several squares… feeding her then feeding himself. A part of Robin wanted to tell Patrick how ridiculous this was, but then a bigger part of her wanted to stay in his arms forever and let him simply take care of her. They do this for a good hour, switching back and forth, feeding each other. Robin laughs as Patrick finishes his last bite.)
Robin: All done!
Patrick: All done? There's no more left?
Robin (laughing): Patrick, we ate a good twelve pancakes between the both of us.
(Patrick wraps his arms around Robin tighter and looks up at her.)
Patrick: I don't know what to say, you make me hungry.
(Robin throws her head back and starts laughing. Patrick takes that opportunity and gently kisses her neck. Robin smiles. Patrick felt so good. She aimlessly runs her fingers through his hair as his kisses trail lower and lower until they reach the buttons of her pajama top. Slowly, Patrick pulls away and looks up at Robin.)
Patrick (breathlessly): Brenda’s gone all day, right?
Robin: Until dinner.
Patrick: Perfect.
(With a single gesture, Patrick stands up picking Robin up with him. She squeals out laughing as she wraps her legs around his waist.)
Robin (laughing): Patrick, what are you doing?
(Patrick carries her up the stairs of their Penthouse and straight toward their bedroom. She continues to laugh as he carefully lays her down on their bed. Robin looks up at him.)
Patrick: Now I can properly thank you for breakfast.
(Robin laughs as Patrick moves toward her. This morning just kept getting better and better. Robin closes her eyes when she feels Patrick’s hands on the buttons on her pajama top.)
Robin (laughing): Patrick… don’t you have to go…
(Patrick silences Robin with a passionate kiss. She moans slightly as she feels his hands gently run across her bare skin and in a slow, sensual movement push the top off of her without ever breaking the kiss. Patrick loved this beautiful woman so much and all he wanted to do was show her, again and again.)

Setting: The Quartermaine Mansion
(Brenda is walking around the grounds of the garden with Luke, Georgie, Dillon and Lulu holding a blackberry in one hand and a cell phone in the other. She’s pointing at various spots in the garden as Luke shakes his head tiredly… how Robert ever spoke him into this, he’d never know. After several moments, Brenda closes her blackberry and looks at Georgie.)

Brenda: Okay… tell Mac that I am on to #2.

Setting: Robin & Patrick’s Bedroom
(Robin and Patrick are staring at the ceiling, both gasping somewhat for air. She pushes back her hair and takes a deep, cleansing breath.)

Robin: Remind me to cook for you more often.
(Patrick turns over and looks at Robin. He softly brushes her hair from her face then looks directly at her.)
Patrick: Have I told you lately how amazing you are?
(Robin’s eyes slowly travel toward him.)
Patrick: I never thought I’d meet anyone who was my equal outside (he runs his fingers up her body) and inside the bedroom.
(Robin covers her face embarrassed.)
Robin: Patrick…
(Patrick reaches for her hands and looks at her.)
Patrick: Why does that embarrass you?
(Robin turns fully and looks at Patrick.)
Robin: You’re telling me that I am good in bed, Patrick. What response do you think I’m going to have?
Patrick: I’d expect you to be embarrassed, you wouldn’t be you if you weren’t… but you shouldn’t be surprised. (looks at her) You are the most beautiful, sexiest, captivating woman I’ve ever known. Robin, you take my breath away… literally.
(Robin starts laughing.)
Patrick: I’m serious. If I didn’t know better, I’d invest in some inhalers for the both of us.
(An extremely embarrassed Robin starts to sit up.)
Robin (flustered): Okay, okay…
(Patrick falls back on the bed and laughs. She looks down at him.)
Robin: You really find this humorous?
Patrick: I just don’t get it.
Robin: What?
(Patrick sits up next to Robin and looks at her.)
Patrick: How can you not see what I do?
(Robin just stares back at him.)
Patrick: After all these months of us being together, feeling the way I touch you, the way I react when you touch me… how can you not see the power you have? How incredibly sexy you are? (She shakes her head) The fact that you don’t see it, just makes me want to show you all the more. (He turns her head toward him) And there’s a small part of me that hopes you never see it, because your bashfulness is one of your most endearing qualities.
(Robin takes a deep breath then looks at him.)
Robin: Patrick, you do show me… in every touch, in every kiss, in every breath. When we’re together, I don’t feel any inhibitions. You’re there with me… you know that what I’m saying is true. It’s like… an outer body experience that transcends anything I’ve ever felt.
(Robin tenderly reaches toward Patrick and touches his neck.)
Robin: It’s intense.
(They both burst out laughing.)
Patrick: Yeah, it is.
(Robin looks down at her hands.)
Robin: And sometimes it scares me.
(Patrick looks back at her.)
Patrick: What do you mean?
(Robin looks back at him.)
Robin: It just keeps getting better with each time… like I keep waiting for things to level off and it’s not!
(Patrick starts laughing while shaking his head. He pulls her toward him.)
Patrick: You are insane! (kisses the top of her head) I’m definitely marrying a crazy woman.
(Robin laughs slightly herself as she looks straight ahead.)
Robin: Come on! You haven’t noticed it?
Patrick: Yes, I’ve noticed that I’m sharing my bed with an insatiable woman – yes! (lightly) All she wants is more, more, more!
(Robin hits Patrick’s leg as he kisses her neck.)
Robin: Well, what do you expect from someone who you think is your equal in the bedroom?
Patrick: I’ll tell you what I expect…
(Patrick suddenly stands up, still fully nude, making Robin fall on the bed. She looks up at him questioningly as he extends his hand toward her.)
Robin: Uh… where do you think we’re going?
Patrick: Trust me?
(Robin sits up slowly.)
Robin (laughing): Less when you’re naked.
Patrick: Robin, be serious.
Robin: Yes, I trust you.
Patrick: Then, take my hand.
(Robin sighs as she reaches for Patrick’s hand.)
Patrick: Okay, now stand up.
(Robin slowly starts to stand up from the bed while bringing the sheet with her. Patrick sees this and shakes his head.)
Patrick: Without the sheet.
Robin: Patrick…
Patrick: Robin?
Robin: Fine!
(Robin drops the sheet and stands in front of Patrick just as nude as he is.)
Robin: Okay… I’m standing naked in front of you… naked. (somewhat nervously) What’s next?
Patrick: We’re going to raise the bar higher.
(Robin can’t help herself. She smiles widely.)
Robin: I think your bar is already raised.
(It’s Patrick’s turn to be shocked. He laughs loudly.)
Patrick: Okay, that’s it! Come on!
(Patrick grabs Robin’s hand and leads her toward the bathroom. Once inside the bathroom, she looks at him.)
Robin: What…
Patrick: We are taking a shower together!
Robin: Patrick…
Patrick: I know what I’m doing.
Robin: It’s just that…
(Patrick lowers his head to look at Robin directly.)
Patrick: Trust me.
(Robin closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.)
Robin: Okay.
(Robin walks past Patrick and into the shower. She stares at the faucets then turns the shower on. After a few moments, she slides the glass door back and peaks her head, looking at Patrick.)
Robin: The water’s perfect now.
(Patrick smiles then slowly steps into the shower with her. Robin squeals loudly as he kisses her neck then begins to lather her body with various shower gels. The bathroom smelled amazing… his hands felt amazing… everything just felt amazing. Robin closes her eyes as Patrick raises his hands and softly lathers shampoo in her hair.)
Robin: Why didn’t you tell me sooner how amazing this would be?
(Patrick smiles as Robin sighs contently.)
Robin: Patrick, I never want to take a shower alone again!

- Hours Later
Setting: Robin & Patrick’s Penthouse
(It’s later in the day. Robin walks down the stairs of the Penthouse. Patrick had to go to the research library, so she had the Penthouse to herself. She gathers some medical journals and prepares to read them until he comes home. Before she can get herself too comfortable on the couch, there’s a knocking on the door. Robin sighs as she stands up and opens it. It’s Brenda.)

Robin: Hey! I thought you were having dinner with Ned.
Brenda: I was supposed to, but then he told me that Edward wanted to have a dinner at the mansion in my honor.
Robin: Oh!
Brenda: Look, I love the Q’s… but they can be a little demanding all at once. They’re going to bombard me with a million questions and I would love you for LIFE if you came with me.
Robin: I don’t know.
Brenda: Do you have other plans?
Robin: Well… no. Patrick had to go to the research library and…
(Brenda jumps up and down.)
Brenda: Good! So, you’re free?
Robin: Yeah, but…
Brenda: No, but’s! I need you! And look, Alan and Monica adore you! (clasps her hands together) Please!
Robin: Okay, okay, fine! Just give me five minutes to change.
(Robin runs up the stairs of the Penthouse. Once she is out of earshot, Brenda opens her purse and takes out her cell phone.)
Brenda: The Robin has landed.
Dillon (annoyed): Can you not talk in code right now?
Brenda: Okay! Robin will be joining me for dinner.
Dillon: Great, I’ll tell Cook to add another setting.
(Brenda closes her phone and smiles toward her best friend as she walks down the stairs.)
Brenda: You got dressed quick.
Robin: You can thank Patrick for that habit.
(Robin grabs her purse.)
Brenda: He makes you late in the mornings?
Robin: Yeah, you could say that.
(Robin turns off the lights of the Penthouse then follows her best friend out of her home. She had no idea what was in store for her tonight… all she knew was that Quartermaines were a crazy bunch. She figured either way she’d have a great story to tell Patrick tonight when she got home.)

Setting: The Quartermaine Grounds
(It’s a beautiful early July night in Port Charles. Robin and Brenda walk toward the Quartermaine Mansion. The weather was absolutely perfect.)

Brenda: I think Ned said that the family was going to eat in the garden tonight since it was so nice out.
Robin: Oh okay. Did I ever tell you that my parents got married in the Quartermaine garden?
Brenda: Really? I had no idea.
(Brenda smiles as Robin follows her. The grounds were somewhat quiet for such a beautiful night. Robin continues to follow her best friend and silently admires how beautiful the grounds look tonight. Suddenly, she notices rows of single white chairs spanning the entire garden. Robin looks at her best friend.)
Robin: Okay Bren… I know the Quartermaines like to over-do it, but how many people did they invite to dinner?
(Brenda stops walking and turns around. She looks at her best friend then reaches for both of her hands. Robin stares back at her questioningly.)
Brenda: Everyone that loves you.
Robin (confused): What?
(Suddenly the entire garden is illuminated by white lights. Robin's eyes scan the entire garden and suddenly she sees Patrick appear out of nowhere. She looks at him extremely confused.)
Robin: What’s going on?
(Brenda steps aside as Patrick walks over to Robin. He takes both of her hands in his and slowly kneels down in front of her, never taking his eyes off her.)
Patrick: Robin…
Robin: Patrick, what are you doing?
Patrick: Will you marry me?
(Robin looks around then back down at Patrick.)
Robin (whispers): Sweetie, we already did this… and I said "yes."
Patrick: But will you marry me tonight?
(Robin’s mouth falls as she stares back at the man she loves.)
Robin: Patrick…
Patrick: Robin, I love you and I want to start our lives together… now.
Robin: Right now? (leans in) Patrick, I don’t have a wedding dress.
(Brenda raises her hand behind Patrick.)
Brenda: Called Vincenzio. He over-nighted the perfect gown for you from Italy.
Robin (surprised): Oh.
(Robin looks back at Patrick.)
Robin: What about all the planning that’s involved?
Patrick: Look around, sweetie, this whole is garden is decorated for you… for us.
(Robin eyes scan the garden. It was beautiful. Breathtakingly beautiful. Exactly the way she dreamed her wedding would look. She looks back at Patrick with tears in her eyes.)
Robin: My family…
Patrick: They’re all here. They’re just trying to let me save some face if you turn me down… so I could face the rejection alone.
Robin (smiles): Like I would ever refuse you of anything?
(Robin laughs tearfully and shakes her head.)
Robin: Yes Patrick! I’ll marry you tonight!
(Patrick leaps to his feet and grabs Robin. He picks her up and hugs her tightly.)
Brenda (yells): SHE SAID YES!
(And as if a dam broke, practically the entire town of Port Charles appears surrounding Robin and Patrick. They laugh as Patrick slowly lowers her to her feet.)
Patrick: Are you sure about this?
Robin: Absolutely. (smiles) I want to be your wife. I don’t want to wait any longer.
(Patrick smiles, then leans in to kiss Robin, but before his lips can touch hers Robert and Mac appear next to them.)
Robert: I would think that you would like to keep one tradition alive before the ceremony, no?
(Robin smiles as she turns around to face her father.)
Robin: Daddy!
(Robin hugs her father then hugs her Uncle Mac.)
Robin: Uncle Mac!
(Anna slowly walks over to Robin and smiles as well.)
Anna: Robin, we have to get you ready… if you want to get married tonight.
(Robin pulls away from Mac then looks at her mom.)
Robin: Mom, can you believe this?
Anna: I can’t believe Brenda and Patrick pulled this off. How in the world did Patrick keep you preoccupied all day?
(Robin’s face suddenly turns another shade of red as she remembers all of their activities. She turns around and looks at a smirking Patrick. Robin laughs as Brenda approaches her.)
Brenda: The man’s resourceful.
(Anna just sighs.)
Anna: And young. (takes Robin’s hand) Now, let’s get you dressed.
(Robin nods then looks at Patrick one last time. The next time she saw him, he would be moments away from being her husband. And for the first time in her life, she was more certain than anything, she was making the right decision. He winks at her and Robin simply waves back at him then lets her mother and Brenda drag her into the Quartermaine Mansion to get ready.)

Setting: The Quartermaine Mansion
(The Quartermaine Mansion is a madhouse… not surprisingly. Robin is upstairs in Lulu’s room getting ready while Patrick gets prepared at Ned’s gatehouse. Robin could not believe she was getting married tonight! Her heart was so incredibly full. She couldn’t help it. Robin walks over to the window and looks down at the garden for at least the tenth time. She sees Tiffany, Monica, and Felicia placing the white folding chairs in perfect order. She laughs slightly when she catches Tiffany tasting some of the appetizers left for the guests. It made her so happy to see Sean and Tiffany at her wedding; it just made this entire night complete. Brenda opens the door and catches a smiling Robin staring at her engagement ring. She clears her throat and looks at her.)

Brenda: Hey…
(Robin turns around smiling.)
Robin: Hey.
(Brenda walks over to Robin and smiles at her.)
Brenda (tearfully): You are going to be a beautiful bride.
Robin: Oh Bren.
Brenda: I’m not going to cry! I’m so not going to cry!
(Brenda takes her best friend’s hand in hers.)
Brenda: It’s just that you’ve been through so much to get to this day. (sighs) I wanted this day so badly for you.
Robin: I know, Bren.
Brenda: And to be here, to be a part of it… it means the world to me.
Robin (tearfully laughs): Thanks, maid of honor!
(Brenda laughs herself.)
Robin: So, you planned this whole thing with Patrick?
Brenda: With the help of your mom, Felicia, Georgie and Luke.
Robin (curiously): Luke?
Brenda: Don’t ask… something about a drinking bet he lost with your dad.
Robin (smiles): Lovely.
(The door to the bedroom opens again revealing Anna Devane.)
Anna: Aidan just got in from Pine Valley.
Robin: Oh wow! That’s unbelievable! (thinks) Is Uncle Mac still with Daddy?
Anna: They’re with Patrick, Noah and his best man.
Brenda (laughs): Poor Patrick.
Anna: The Scorpio men look handsome in their tuxes.
Robin (smiles): Why am I not surprised?
(Robin smiles tearfully and takes Anna’s and Brenda’s hands in hers.)
Robin (tearfully): I’m so lucky to have you both here with me. There was a time when I thought that I lost both of you. I don’t know how I lived those years without you. Every time my heart was broken, you, Brenda put it back together. And Mom, you’re my spirit… you’re my fire. I love you both so much.
Anna (emotionally): Oh Robin!
(Anna and Brenda both hug Robin tightly. Suddenly the door opens again revealing Robert and Mac. Robin looks up laughing.)
Robin: Did Patrick kick you out?
Robert: No, we excused ourselves.
Mac: It’s your wedding day.
Robert: And we want to be with you.
Mac: Both of us.
(Robin smiles widely.)
Robert: Can we have a moment alone with the bride?
Anna: Of course. I’ll check on Aidan.
(Anna and Brenda quietly excuse themselves as Mac and Robert walk toward Robin.)
Mac: You waited a long time for this. (He takes her hand) I hope you know how happy I am for you.
(Robert takes Robin’s other hand and looks at her as well.)
Robert: Sweetheart, it wasn’t that long ago… I didn’t know if I’d ever see you again.
Robin: Daddy.
Robert: Thank you for willing me back to life. (Kisses her forehead) Thank you for being my inspiration.
(Robin wipes her eyes.)
Robin: Okay, now you both know that you’re walking me down the aisle, right?
Mac: Are you sure?
Robin: I’m certain of it.
Mac: Because your father is back and I would completely understand if…
Robin: Uncle Mac, you are walking me down that aisle. (looks at him) You have been my one constant for the last fifteen years. I need you to be that constant for me today. You’re not off the hook yet, Uncle Mac.
Mac: In that case, never take me off the hook.
Robert: Good! Now, that’s settled… go get that gown on, so we could gush about how perfect you are.
(Mac kisses Robin’s forehead and walks over to the door with his brother.)
Mac: Hurry up. we’ll be waiting.
(Robin tearfully shakes his head and laughs. She stands up and walks over to the bed in Lulu’s room. She looks down at a beautiful white wedding gown resting on top of it. There it is - her wedding dress. She smiles and slowly picks it up. Robin holds it up against her body as she looks in the mirror. This is it. Robin is one step closer to becoming Mrs. Robin Scorpio-Drake. Moments later and with the help of Anna and Brenda, Robin was in her gown. After helping her, they left Robin alone again to let Monica know they were getting closer to starting the ceremony. By herself, Robin walks toward the center of the room in her gown and looks at her reflection in the full-length mirror and smiles. She looked just like she hoped she would. Her dress is elegant but stylish. It was classic white and came out a bit at her waist. Robin looks up when she hears a knocking on the door.)
Robin: Come in.
(Robin looks taken back when she sees Noah Drake walking in slowly wearing a tuxedo. A slow smile forms on their faces at the sight of each other.)
Noah: You look radiant.
Robin (smiles): Thank you. You look handsome yourself.
Noah (tenderly): If I were only a few years younger, I would’ve given Patrick a real run for his money.
(Robin smiles and looks at Noah.)
Robin: Somehow I think you really could’ve.
(Robin and Noah both laugh.)
Noah: Well, I didn’t come here to steal you away from the groom. (lightly) Not that the thought didn’t cross my mind. (she laughs again) I came here to give you something.
(Noah reaches into his tuxedo jacket.)
Noah: Patrick’s mother was a special woman, Robin. (She looks down) I am so honored that you are wearing her engagement ring.
Robin (looks at him): Thank you. It means so much to me, you have no idea.
(Noah smiles tenderly.)
Noah: No, I do. You know, you remind me of her. You both have this inner strength that shines straight from your heart through your eyes. (smiles widely) And they are beautiful eyes, Robin.
Robin (blushes): Thank you.
Noah: My son is a very lucky man. (sighs) Well, I don't do traditions very well, but there are some that should be upheld and I would like to do that today.
(Noah finally reveals what is in his hand.)
Noah: These belonged to my wife. Patrick bought them for her with his first earnings from his newspaper route.
(Noah opens the box and shows Robin a pair of sparkling diamond earrings. Her mouth falls at the beauty of them.)
Robin: Must’ve been some paper route.
Noah: He had a little help from me as well.
(Robin laughs as she looks back at Noah.)
Noah: I think she’d want you to have them… and I’m sure Patrick would love for you to wear them as well.
Robin: Noah, I don't know what to say.
Noah: Just say that you will wear them today.
Robin: I will.
(Robin takes the earrings and puts them on. Noah smiles at the beauty of them on Robin.)
Noah: Just like I thought… they’re a perfect fit. (touches her shoulders) Like you and my son.
(Mac and Robert slowly open the door. They smile toward Noah and Robin.)
Robert: It’s time, Luv.
(Noah looks at Robin.)
Noah: I’ll go be some moral support for my son.
(Robin laughs as Noah disappears. Robert and Mac walk into the room and shake their heads at the beauty of Robin. She turns toward them.)
Robin: So?
Robert: Drake won’t know what hit him.
Robin: Wow!! This is really happening, isn't it?
Mac: It is.
(Mac hugs Robin tightly as she tearfully smiles. He pulls away from her and extends his arm.)
Mac: Are you ready?
Robin: Let’s go.

Setting: The Quartermaine Garden
(Patrick Drake walks up to the front of the garden and shakes hands with Father Thompson. He turns around nervously and faces the guests. He sees so many people sitting in front of him. The entire town of Port Charles seemed to be in front of him tonight. Suddenly he feels his best friend, Michael McBain’s, hand on his shoulder.)

Michael: Cold feet yet?
Patrick: Nope. My feet are still warm.
Michael: Good. (smiles) Because there’s your bride.
(Patrick looks up suddenly and loses all train of thought. Maybe he should’ve bought both them inhalers like he had joked earlier in the day. Robin smiles nervously as she approaches the garden with her uncle on one side and her father on the other. She turns her head and sees her Uncle standing next to her on one side looking back at her with so much love and she smiled widely toward him. Robin loved him so much and felt so safe whenever he was near. She felt a tug on her other arm and turned her head. It was her father, on the other side of her. Robert Scorpio. She loved him so very much too. A different love than her uncle’s. A separate love. Robin smiles toward him as well and he just quietly nods. The Quartermaine garden looked absolutely beautiful. Suddenly she hears music which cues them to approach her fiancée and his best man. It’s then when Robin realizes that this was exactly like her dream. Robin smiles tearfully and silently whispers, "wow." It’s at that moment, Robin sees everyone she loves stand at the sight of her. Robin’s eyes scan the scene laid out in front of her… just like her dream. There’s Felicia, Georgie, Maxie, Jesse, Dillon, Jax, Alan, Monica, Liz, Lucky, Nikolas, Lulu, Emily, Mike, Brenda, Anna, Aidan, Uncle Sean, Aunt Tiffany and… Noah Drake. Robin can feel herself moving toward Patrick, who’s standing with his arms folded in front of his body with Michael McBain standing next to him. And just like her dream, her uncle and father kiss her cheek then place her hand in Patrick’s. She turns her head and he looks at her directly as reaches for her other hand. Robin turns her head when suddenly she hears a looming voice next to them.)
Father Thompson: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sight of God and the presence of these witnesses to join, this man and this woman, Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio in the holy state of matrimony.
(Robin feels Patrick's grip tighten a bit on her hands and she smiles.)
Father Thompson: I require and charge you both that if either of you know any impediment why you may not be lawfully joined together in the holy state of matrimony - you may say so now. No marriage can be considered lawful if it is not entered into with full disclosure and with open heart. And if there be any present that can show just cause on why these two can't be joined together - speak now or forever hold your peace.
(After a few moments of silence, Father Thompson continues.)
Father Thompson: Who gives this woman to this man?
(Robert and Mac slowly step forward as Robin smiles toward them tearfully.)
Robert & Mac: We do.
(Robin smiles at her uncle and father as Patrick nods his head.)
Father Thompson: The bride and groom have asked to share a few words with one another before taking their vows. So, if you will - please let us listen to them.
(Patrick, still holding onto both of Robin's hands, face her.)
Patrick: I love you, Robin. I don’t know what more I can say without losing it completely. (they both laugh) You are my equal, my partner, my life. And every morning I thank God that for giving me you. (simply) And every night I thank you for a taking a chance on me… because I know it wasn’t easy. I challenged you every step of the way, but it only made me fall deeper in love with you. I love you, Robin, so very much and I promise to be the husband and partner that you deserve.
(Robin shakes her head and raises her free hand to wipe her eyes.)
Robin: You amaze me. There is not a single day that I don’t wake up and thank the heavens for you. You are in no way perfect, but I love your imperfections more than anything. You are my hero, my biggest supporter, my strength. Patrick, you are my heart. And thank you for taking that chance on me… because I didn’t make it that easy, myself. (smiles) But it was so worth it. So incredibly worth it… because I love you more than anything. I promise to be the wife and partner that you deserve.
(Father Thompson smiles toward the couple and continues.)
Father Thompson: Now, for the vows. Do you, Patrick Drake, take this woman to be your lawful wedded wife? To live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, honor her and keep only onto her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others and be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?
Patrick: I do.
Father Thompson: Do you, Robin Scorpio, take this man to be your lawful wedded husband? To live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, honor him and keep only onto him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others and be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?
Robin: I do.
(Father Thompson looks toward Michael McBain.)
Father Thompson: May I please have the rings?
(Michael smiles proudly then goes into his pocket and pulls out the two white platinum wedding bands then confidently hands the rings to Father Thompson.)
Father Thompson: These rings are symbols of your devotion, respect, and continuing love.
(Father Thompson hands the ring to Patrick. Patrick takes a deep breath then nervously and gently picks up Robin’s left hand.)
Patrick: In token and pledge of the vow made between us this ring I thee wed.
(Patrick nervously and excitedly slips the ring onto Robin's finger. She looks down at it and smiles back toward him. Father Thompson then hands the other band to Robin.)
Robin: In token and pledge of the vow made between us this ring I thee wed.
(Robin slips the ring on Patrick's finger. He looks down at it and smiles back toward her. Father Thompson smiles at the happy couple.)
Father Thompson: Now that Patrick and Robin have given themselves to each other by solemn vows, through the joining of hands, and the exchange of rings - I pronounce that they are husband and wife - in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Those whom God has joined together may no man put asunder.
(The guests cheer loudly as Robin and Patrick stare at each other.)
Father Thompson: You may now kiss the bride.
(Patrick turns toward Robin and takes a deep breath. He tenderly cups her face in his hands.)
Patrick (whispers): You are so beautiful.
(With that, Patrick moves slowly toward Robin and gently kisses her as the guests cheer. She throws her arms around Patrick's neck and eagerly pulls him toward her. They were married! Patrick slowly pulls away from Robin then takes her hand and leads her out to the back of the garden. Once there, he picks up a laughing Robin and swings her around. Filled with emotion, he begins passionately kissing her. Moments later, the guests join them and start cheering. They were officially Mr. & Mrs. Drake.)
