Hot Topic: Robert Scorpio's Return!
Secret Agent Man
I have been waiting for Robert Scorpio's return for years, and finally it's
happened! I used to love all that spy and secret agent stuff he did, and I
hope they go in that direction again. I remember he used to have a computer
room furnished by the WSB hidden under a staircase. Wouldn't it be
interesting if that room was hidden in Sonny's old penthouse all this time and
he didn't know it? - Geraldine Lee
A Mac Attack?
I think it's funny that Mac and Robert are brothers and that Robert kept his
Australian accent but Mac's somehow vanished. I hope they give these two
bickering brothers some air time. After all, their relationship began as volatile
and evolved into something much deeper. Maybe this time, they can fight
crime and injustice together. - Andie Abrahms
Mixed Emotions
I'm not sure whether to be happy or concerned that Robert Scorpio is back in
Port Charles. If recent history is an indicator, he'll either be a
drunken, worn-out slob (a la Noah) or he'll just get tossed into a storyline to
ultimately get killed off (like Rick Webber). I hope they do Robert and
his memory justice by making him the same charming good guy that he always was.
- Karen Feigner
Seems Like Old Times
First Rick Springfield then Tristan Rogers. Could I be more
excited?! I don't think so. They're recreating the golden years at
GENERAL HOSPITAL, and that's just fine by me. Back then, the show was
exciting (without bullets or bombs) and romantic (without bed-hopping or
unplanned pregnancies) and made you want to escape into their world.
Please, GH, do what you can to make their stays in Port Charles much longer than
these planned short stints. - Adrianne Daly
More, Please...
Six Weeks? Is that all? Is it negotiable? Dangling Robert Scorpio
in front of our noses, then making him hit the road again is pointless.
Give him a story. Heck, give him two. One with Luke and one with
Robin. But if the idea is to bring him back just to feed our need for
history and nostalgia, that's a dirty, rotten shame. - Marilyn Brathwaite
Decisions, Decisions
A happy ending for Robert and Holly or a happy ending for Robert and Anna?
Oh, my. I don't know what to wish for. On one hand, the
Luke/Holly/Robert triangle was the best in GH's history, and their story never
felt completely "over." On the other hand, who wouldn't want to
see an entire Scorpio family reunion? I'm getting the warm fuzzies just
thinking about it. - Lorraine Botana
Daddy's Little Girl
One of the things that always endeared Robert to me was his relationship with
Robin. He was such a wonderful, protective father. I can't help but
wonder how much tension there will be between them, considering she thought he
was dead all these years. She had to deal with HIV alone when in reality,
he was really alive to comfort her. And for what? His government
work? I'd be mighty peeved if I were her. - Joanna Gonzalez
A True Supercouple
Although I'm a huge Sonny and Jason fan, their connection pales in comparison to
what Luke and Robert had back in the '80s. That was GH at its best.
They set the bar for soap opera buddies that no duo, on any soap on any network,
can ever reach. I'm looking forward to seeing those old pros showing them
how to do it. Now, if only they get the right storyline... - Laura Donna
