Is Robin Returning?

PSST:  General Hospital's Jason was barely back in town 10 minutes before the name of his former love, Robin Scorpio, was brought up.  Is a reunion in the ex-couple's future?

The INDEPTH Story:  To hear Soaps In Depth reader Danielle D. say it, "The summer of 2002 is the perfect time for the undeniable chemistry of Robin and Jason to heat up the screen.  [Their] love story has yet to be duplicated."

While the fact remains that Jason has returned to Port Charles romantically unattached, GH alumna Kimberly McCullough - who recently reprised the role of Robin in May 2001 on AMC, where soap mom Finola Hughes (Anna) now works - says the prospect of revisiting the pairing, at least at this time, is unlikely. "Am I coming back?" she interjects even before the question is raised during a recent talk with Soaps In Depth. "Well, I have not received a phone call from GH. Not one." 

Nonetheless, the Daytime Emmy Winner - despite being painted as a tattletale when her alter ego revealed baby Michael's true paternity to AJ in January 1999 - feels that just-returned headwriter, Robert Guza, Jr., who oversaw the powerful finale of GH's acclaimed Robin/Stone AIDS story, has the potential to reinvigorate the GH canvas.  "That was groundbreaking. Hopefully, he'll do something like that again," McCullough, who still keeps tabs on GH happenings.  "Hopefully, he will bring some adventure and more cool relationships stories."
