Getting to Know You
Jason Thompson
Ever since GH's riginal Dr McDreamy, Noah Drake, brought his son to town, Junior McD has sent the female pulses racing. Is Jason Thompson anything like the sexy, swarthy womanizer he plays? You be the judge.
Beach or mountains? "I'd have to say both because being down here [in the U.S. from his native Canada], I love the beach. I love surfing. But growing up on the mountains, snowboarding and having that view of snowcaps and pine trees is what makes me feel at home."
Apples or oranges? "Granny Smith apples."
Morning person or night owl? "Morning person, for sure. I usually get up pretty early. When it's 10:30 [p.m.], I'm falling asleep. I'm not that good at night. Not that I get cranky, but I get sleepy and I tire. But I wake up in the morning and I'm happy and ready to go."
Coke or Pepsi? "Coke. I like the taste. Pepsi's too sweet for me. Coke is classic."
Bath or shower? "Shower. I like the feeling of the water hitting me."
Oprah or Jerry Springer? "Oprah. It's all about respect."
John, Paul, George or Ringo? "John. And Ringo. I like George. George is cool. My fahter grew up right across the river from Liverpool. That's where he was born and raised until he came over to Canada. He definitely loves the Beatles."
Hot tea or iced tea? "Hot tea, unless it's Canadian iced tea. Canadian iced tea is different from American iced tea. It's already sweetened. When family and friends first come down here and get an iced tea and it's literally cold tea, they're like, 'Ugh! What is this stuff?'"
Carnivore or herbivore? "I eat meat, especially growing up in Canada. My grandparents and uncles still hunt."
Boxers or briefs? "I go combo. I don't like the wide front Speedo style, but don't really do boxers because they ride too high. So, I do the combination."
Spend or save? "I did just buy a house, but I'd say both. I don't frivolously spend money, but I don't stop myself from having a good time."
Procrastinate or just do it? "I'd like to believe I'm a 'Just do it,' but I think my parents would say I'm more of a procrastinator [laughs]."
Truth or Dare? "I can have fun with both."
