General Hospital Fan Club Weekend
Tidbits from the events
From Recaps of Rebecca Herbst's Event, which Jason Thompson attended: "I would tour as his groupie, but not to get up and sing," Thompson said of his famous GH dad, rock star Rick Springfield (Noah).
From Recaps of the Luncheon, which most of the stars attended:
- "I'm especially excited to have my mom and dad back," said Kimberly McCullough on Robert and Anna's return, although she did say that she loves Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke, GH). "He should come back and have another romance with my mom!"
- Tall, dark and handsom Jason Thompson wasn't sure what to expect, this being his first GH Fan Weekend. "But so far, so good," he said. "A lot of us wouldn't have jobs if it wasn't for you guys."
- Loudest welcome from fans: Finola Hughes
From Recaps of the Scrubs Event:
- Secrets Revealed! Their co-star, Rebecca Herbst, tailored the ladies' scrubs to make them more falttering. She has added both zippers and push-up bras to give their uniforms more oomph.
- The "ouch" moment: McCullough said she likes that RObin is having "a sex life with someone she's not even, maybe, in love with," to which Thompson threw his arms in frustration.
- The "ouch" moment, part deaux: Robin and Patrick's break-up sene was painful for Thompson in more ways than one. After they shot it, McCullough slapped him and said, "You made me cry, you bastard!"
- Robin's portayer knew exactly what their guests were thinking - after greeting the group, she turned to her leading man and said, "Will you please take your shirt off?"
- "He's such a brat," McCullough teased about Patrick's counterpart, who took his chewing gim out of his mouth and handed it to GH Fan Club President Debbie Morris to toss out. "I bet we can auction that off!" joked McCullough.
- Thompson and McCullough admited they swap each other's fan mail. "It's a little weird reading about yourself, so we read each other's."
- Patrick's inability to date Robin exclusively stumps McCullough. "I held his liver in my hands! Why won't he commit?!"
From Recaps of the Quartermaine Brunch, hosted by Leslie Charleson, which Tristan Rogers attended:
- While everyone else in town was complaining abot the heat, Rogers, who lives in Palm Springs, was counting his blessings. "It's 121 degrees at home."
