: Goldman & Anderson : Bodie & Doyle : Starsky & Hutch :
From "Tour of Duty," a show centered around a group of American soldiers during the height of the Vietnam war.
Myron Goldman (Stephen Caffrey) was the fresh-out-of-officer-school Lieutenant, newly arrived in Vietnam and determined to prove himself. Zeke Anderson () was the seasoned, laid back Sergeant, determined to protect his men and gently break in his new Lieutenant.
I didn't actually watch "Tour of Duty" every week, but I did like what I saw. I loved the friendship between Goldman and Anderson, and I when I watched, it was for that. I had liked Stephen from a soap he had been on, and I liked him in ToD as well, finding something interesting in his character. It wasn't until I started reading some slash fanfiction that I thought about them paired up. There's some awesome slash fanfiction with these two, and I highly recommend trying some of it out!
Connection: ToD Slash Fanfiction (Biblio's slash fanfiction. I highly recommend her stories "Memento Mori." Highly!!)
Notes from the Underground (a large assortment of slash fanfic with different pairings from a multiple of authors. I highly recommend stories from the author DC)
Open Air Insane Asylum (Slash fanfic from authors Creed Cascade and TJ, in not only the ToD world)

From the British show "The Professionals," about two cops working for the specialized C15 branch of law enforcement in England.
Ray Doyle () and Bodie were hard nosed, driven, and fierce cops. Doyle was the more artistic one, with a penchant for brooding and taking on guilt. Bodie was less internal, more external, having once been a mercenary for hire and an all around knockaround guy. They were best of mates, hard on the criminals and fast with the women.
I never got to see that much of "The Professionals," as it never played in my area. I actually started becoming interested in this show when I read fanfiction on it. Not slash, but general fanfiction, that focused on the friendship between the two men. I then got some books based on episodes of the show, and borrowed a friends tape to see some of the episodes, and enjoyed what I saw. As sexist as the show, and the guys, could be, I enjoyed the friendship between the two.
It's hard to see slash between the two on the show, but there are some great fanfiction stories out there that explore it in an interesting way.

From the show "Starsky and Hutch," about two cops working in LA.
David Starsky (Paul Michael Glaser) and Kenneth "Hutch" Hutchison (David Soul) were partners in LA, detectives. Starsky was the more carefree one, into fast food and devoted to his car. Hutch was a little more sensitive, into more healthy things like food and meditation. They were close, caring, and compassionate cops, who were the best of partners and friends.
It's not that hard to see slash with these two on screen. They were always touching each other, friendly, caring, and hurt for each other when the other was in trouble. They had one of the best friendships around, and were my second friend-ship after Kirk and Spock from "Star Trek." I loved these two, and it was never hard for me to slip into slash with them after having seen the show.
